House of Chanel
A French art deco flat built in 1928, lovingly restored in 2011.  2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths

coco-chanel-3Actually, Coco Chanel didn’t stay here — but she would have, had she visited Buenos Aires in its legendary heyday. The stylish 1920s, a gracious period when this flat’s ten-foot ceilings and three balconies with floor-to-ceiling French doors were the norm for luxury homes. You’ll know you’re somewhere special when you walk through the stylized art deco doors and enter the marble lobby with the period wrought-iron elevator.

Located in the exclusive “La Isla” section of the neighborhood, Recoleta. Many conveniences are right at your doorstep. There are delis on both sides of the building and several nearby bakeries. Walk just a few blocks to the famous Recoleta cemetery and Buenos Aires Design Center. Stroll through the weekend Recoleta Arts and Crafts Fair. The renowned Bellas Artes museum is practically in your backyard.
